Our Staff Says
"When I first started at Great River Montessori, I was new to the education field and a bit nervous about starting a new career. The staff at GRM put my fears to rest quickly. From the beginning they have given me all of the tools I need to meet each individual child’s needs. The Montessori method provides such a fun and inclusive learning environment and the staff embrace each child’s learning styles and growth individually. This makes teaching fun and engaging every day. The excitement children feel when they learn something new makes me excited to come to work every day. Great River Montessori has also made the transition from being home with my children to working so easy and rewarding. I have never had to worry about my home/ work life balance and have never regretted my choice to apply. Everyone is treated equally regardless of position, and they are inclusive of everyone. The staff care about you as a person, not just an employee. They are more than just coworkers, they have become friends."

"I’ve had the privilege of being part of Great River Montessori for the past five years, and “working” doesn’t even feel like the right word. They’ve become like a second family to me. The administration and staff have been incredibly supportive, helping me grow and develop my passion for working with children. When I first started with no Montessori experience, I was nervous, but through observing lessons and watching how the teachers interact with the kids, I quickly gained confidence. The welcoming environment at Great River helped me feel at ease and sparked my love for the Montessori approach. As I began my Montessori training, I also gained a deep respect for Maria Montessori and her method. I appreciate the Montessori method because it allows each child to learn at their own pace, focuses on the whole child, and supports their freedom of movement. Great River Montessori is truly a wonderful place to work, where you're supported, inspired, and given the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children."
-Ms. Abby

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Great River Montessori! It is such a great school for children to learn and explore. I worked closely with the 2.5 - 3 year olds. The emphasis on practical life activities for this age group was my favorite. I loved seeing the children learn many valuable skills that they could then use in their everyday lives. I loved watching how proud they felt when they figured something out on their own. Witnessing their growth and development over time was truly fulfilling. I also enjoyed the free-play at recess. Seeing the children's imaginations come alive was so exciting! I have fond memories of the mud-kitchen, made-up games, and singing silly songs. Great River Montessori is a wonderful place to raise and educate children and I am so thankful for my time there."
